Today, I am blogging over at The Me First Movement about how I learned that taking care of myself was essential if I was going to be effective at caring for others (there’s blood, firemen, and a really awkward first kiss. What more can you ask for in a post?).
Here’s an excerpt…
At some point, not putting yourself first catches up to you. You fall ill, you burn out, you tumble into despair or depression or a crevice so deep it feels impossible to scale. Put your self-care first on a regular basis, and the world expands exponentially for you, allowing you to give more than you ever imagined to the passions that drive your purpose.
Hope you’ll go check out the rest of the post and share your thoughts.
