Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses. My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.
Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).
Here is my sensory round-up for this week:
tasting :: Sweet Potato Gruyere Turnovers. Unreal. Make yourself some. Seriously.
hearing :: Not Ready to Make Nice by the Dixie Chicks. Who knows how it got into my head, but it is.
smelling :: Sauteed onions. They featured prominently in several recipes this week.
seeing :: With a couple workshops this week (The Hopeful Year Toolkit and visionSHINE), the gorgeous horses of Triple Play Farm. Love those big boys.
feeling :: Busy but pumped. A frenetic two weeks are ahead of me- exciting but game on.
wishing/hoping :: for really productive use of my time.
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
This post was inspired by Teacher Goes Back to School who was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.
tasting :: the traditional German St Martin dish: goose with red cabbage and potato dumpling, prepared by my mother-in-law. Hmmm…
hearing :: Delight. Let’s say: Delight’s puberty crisis (she is 4). A new phase, and as usual we as parents are 2 steps behind so far.
smelling :: moisturizing cream.
seeing :: Baby’s nursery, that now looks like a nursery! I’m so grateful my husband did it, and I’m totally happy with the result!
feeling :: exhausted, a bit discouraged. Life in the last weeks requested all of my energy, and I was not able to do ANYTHING for the household.
wishing/hoping :: to get sleep, and cheer up – we have the great chance to get some support as from now. Things will go better.
