Friday Reflections

Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses.  My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.

Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).

Here is my sensory round-up for this week:

tasting ::  tomato basil pasta with artichokes, mushrooms and plenty of garlic, tiramisu, birthday cake, pancakes, crab legs.

hearing :: the ocean crashing into the beach, little kid shrieks of joy.

smelling ::  the fishy but pleasant ocean air and sunscreen.

seeing ::  cousins having a ball together, the sensory overload of a beach pavilion, Happy having a ball no matter what we’re doing.

feeling ::  a funny little mix of relaxed (I am happy we took the chance to get away) but a little bit daunted by what I need to take care of- fast!

wishing/hoping ::  for an incredible semester with my already adorable students.  Love them and so excited to journey with them.

What about you?  What were your sensational experiences this week?  Please share!

This post was inspired by Teacher Goes Back to School who was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.
