Friday Reflections

Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses.  My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.

Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).

Here is my sensory round-up for this week:

tasting ::  cumin dusted salmon and quinoa vegetable salad that were both panned by both my boys (I loved both!), low country boil, sweet potato puree quesadillas, Zoe’s tabbouleh salad, spinach artichoke leek soup, a salted caramel brownie from Amelie’s- a wonderful French bakery in Charlotte, and cherry pie.

bowling

hearing :: the clamoring of bowling balls being thrown and the crash of bowling pins as Happy enjoyed his first bowling experience

smelling :: pluff mud as it wafted through the air on morning runs at the beach

beach run

seeing ::  drift wood, big dunes, wide open spaces, rain falling in the distance over the ocean, spectacular sunrises, wild downpours

feeling :: refreshed after a week of vacation and excited about upcoming projects

wishing/hoping ::  for a super productive July that sees lots of things scratched off the list!

What about you?  What were your sensational experiences this week?  Please share!
