Description
PlantHouse has gorgeous standing work tables that are great for some parts of our workshop. That said, you might want to sit during more reflective parts of the workshop. For your comfort, I encourage you to bring a collapsible camp chair (like what you would take to a sporting event or concert).

What Participants in Rosie’s Workshops Say
This experience felt different from other leadership professional development in that it was rooted in strengths and encouraged self-care. You cannot pour from an empty cup, but in so many service/helping/ and non-profit professions, we are all continually doing more with less, and burnout is real. Identifying who you are as an individual, how that shapes who you are as a leader, and identifying tools to nourish and refresh yourself and others are important aspects of leading well and purposefully. Corporate America attempts to define what a leader looks like, acts like, how they lead, etc.; however, remembering we all bring unique skills, talents, and ways of thinking is vital. This
training helped remind me of that.
The experience of slowing down and being able to do this level of intrapersonal work alongside others felt like a gift. I am constantly pouring into others and managing everything. The work I do is not just mentally draining but emotionally taxing. To have a space for this kind of unhurried, intentional learning and tending to self in this type of supportive and creative atmosphere was so replenishing for me. The impact to me was profound. I have a clearer sense of purpose and renewed energy.
Rosie has a way of truly seeing people and meeting them right where they are. This was my first workshop and introduction of Rosie, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The experience surpassed all of my expectations and will be a non-negotiable way to kick off each new year. I’m grateful Rosie offers this workshop. It attracts people who wouldn’t have ordinarily connected and brings such a bright light of optimism into the new year… especially when winter/post holiday blues are starting to set in.
These opportunities for reflection reminded me of the joy that I thought was long since gone regarding engaging and helping people. When I am reminded about “Why” I do the work, I enjoy it more and feel I am better at it.
