Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses. My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.
Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).
Here is my sensory round-up for this week:
tasting :: a crab cake salad with a lemon vinaigrette at The Liberty , sautéed spinach, herbed roasted mashed potatoes, strawberry shortcake
hearing :: really incredible possibilities from Passion. Purpose. Plunge clients, college dreams from Circle de Luz girls, friends and I sharing the stuff that either is overwhelming or just stumping right now
smelling :: Happy’s new coconut smoothie hair conditioner. Yum.
seeing :: the most incredible moon
feeling :: ridiculously sore after my first run of the year. Holy wow, did everything hurt after that! Note to self: build up muscular endurance.
wishing/hoping :: for grace and good work in the personal/professional crunch I face between now and May 9th
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
This post was inspired by Teacher Goes Back to School who was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.
Tasting: grilled asparagus wrapped in bacon – crisp outside, soft and juicy inside.
Hearing: Enjoy laughing while she was sleeping.
Smelling: the soil of our garden. I so missed it this winter!
Seeing: flowers blossoming, and the first, tender green of radishes in our garden.
Feeling: pain while being massaged and gratefulness that my aches could be handled within a short time.
Hoping/wishing: to savoure this week with my husband at home and the 2 girls.
Oh my goodness, Cecile, how sweet that Enjoy laughed while she slept. That would make my week! Your Friday reflections sound wonderful. And I had a crazy couple weeks which left me more silent than I meant to be. I received your lovely question about translating BY. What a humbling honor! I have no idea the rules involved either and if you want to just do it for friends, I don’t even think the rules apply. When you are ready, let me know and we’ll figure things out. Just know that you’ve made my year with such a lovely request!
