Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses. My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.
Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).
Here is my sensory round-up for this week:
tasting :: lemonade and berry berry sorbet from Ben and Jerry’s after a family walk to the local scoop shop during spring break.
hearing :: gleeful cousins laughing together, four year old besties conspiring together, Circle de Luz hijas passionately discussing everything from sandwich ingredients to college plans
smelling :: horse breath as I got in a little bit more time at the farm to finish planning for Unbridled Authenticity (I am SO excited about it)
seeing :: Happy work hard to complete 100 piece puzzles and then be so proud of himself (as is his mama!)
feeling :: thankful for a lovely spring break week
wishing/hoping :: for the grading fairies to dust me with their magic so I am an efficient, thoughtful, inspiring grader as I tackle the last month of the semester with all the papers, journals, exams, quizzes, and presentations that come with it.
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
