Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses. My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.
Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).
Here is my sensory round-up for this week:
tasting :: BF’s incredible teriyaki chicken wings, Roasted Spaghetti Squash, Simple Salmon, and sweet potato, spinach, gruyere turnovers.
hearing :: a Rooster’s commanding call, Phillip Phillips singing Home, a flight attendant’s instructions.
smelling :: sauteed onions, cranberry and orange candle scents, the first scent of my boys- BF’s cologne and Happy’s hair product- as I returned home after being out of town.
seeing :: Junior Johnson and Rusty Wallace. Two NASCAR legends who were on Charlotte Today this week on the same day I was. Nothing like talking about moonshine and cars while sitting in a green room. Also, the horses of Triple Play Farm enjoying a gorgeous sunny day in their pasture.
feeling :: satisfied with a really busy week that allowed me to do some work that really lights my fire and thoughtful about how to keep the energy level.
wishing/hoping :: for a wonderfully productive new week.
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
