Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses. My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.
Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).
Here is my sensory round-up for this week:
tasting :: Avgolemono soup. Yum.
hearing :: This is How Your Lose Her by Junot Diaz. On the last disc of this short story collection. Very good.
smelling :: Lemon Verbena candle. We’re pretty addicted to candles in the winter around here.
seeing :: New horses at Triple Play Farm. I am wild about the herd at Triple Play Farm and there are three new additions– and they are all ladies. The first female horses at the farm and they are gorgeous. This is a big farm week for me– three days out there– so I’ll get my fill of their majestic beauty.
feeling :: Pooped. I am making myself give up my daily sugar crutch for cheap energy and I don’t drink coffee. I am dragging but I am also now able to go to bed so much earlier because I am not fueled by sugar.
wishing/hoping :: for an amazing new year filled with intention and goodness.
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
