a way to capture the senses of each week…
tasting :: ice cream. A sweet celebration of our time together as a family.
hearing :: Our Happy Family Day book that I put together last year to celebrate our family’s story. It has been heavy in the reading rotation this week.
smelling :: a lavender candle. It’s been gloomy here more often than not and candle light and yummy smells just change the mood for me.
seeing :: twilight. I am loving that the days are getting just enough longer to notice that the season is preparing to change.
feeling :: so honored and humbled that Beautiful You was named to the 2012 Amelia Bloomer list from the American Library Association. The Amelia Bloomer list annually recognizes the best feminist reads for, in BY’s case, teens. They wrote of BY: We felt your book was an accessible, positive guide to developing and cultivating compassionate care of self and others. We were struck by the book’s appeal, not only to young women, but to a larger community inclusive of age and gender, and we thank you for writing this book.
wishing/hoping :: to manifest my dreams for this year of being fully aligned in my professional work and wholehearted in all of my experiences.
What about you? What were your sensational experiences this week? Please share!
