Sunshine today. Thank you, Mother Earth. I needed that. Happy needed that. We all needed that.
Tomorrow, Happy and I are going to get out the garden pulls and weed our raised beds to prepare them for vegetable seeds. We’re heading to the supply store on Friday for some seeds. This year, I am going to put on my big girl gardening gloves and actually grow my vegetables from seed (and start in March instead of May with starter plants).
I opened up my birthday list today and was excited to see that I am making progress on some items and will soon cross off some others.
Crossed off the list already: Complete the Beautiful You manuscript, Do StrengthFinder 2.o, and Clean Out Our House Attic.
Should be crossed off the list this week: Make a visionboard (have you ever done one of these? Did you find that it worked for you? I miss doing art regularly and thought this might be a fun way to get back into it while inspiring myself to keep going), Go Horseback Riding.
This year’s list had way too many things that I have to work at regularly all year long to make happen. Note to self: don’t do that again. I like the satisfaction of doing something once and crossing it off the list. Nonetheless, here are some of the things that I am working on regularly: take 1 picture of Happy every day of his 2nd year of life, raise $10,000 for Circle de Luz (currently at $8908.50), run for an hour (up to 40 minutes in 4 minute run, 1 minute walk intervals), read 36 books (8 down, should knock out 2 more this week), keep a journal for Happy (I write in it about 3x a month), Get Money’s Worth Out of YMCA membership (Me and Happy are there about 6 hours a week), Work out 200 minutes a week (see previous item).
After a frenetic couple of weeks, my brain has turned to mush, and I am feeling un-creative. Holler if you have any questions, suggestions of topics for the blog. In the meantime, I’ll work on demushing my mind.
200 minutes a week???? *gasp*
