So, I love a good quiz, personality test, horoscope, rune of insight into myself or others. My college required all incoming freshmen take the Myers-Brigg personality type indicator which indentifies 16 different personality types. Part of the theory work with MB indicates what personality types are compatible. We took the test as incoming freshmen so that the college’s residence life office could match us with a roommate whose personality is a match to ours. I don’t remember what my personality type was then, but the last time I took MB (as a late twenty-something professional), my personality type was INFJ which categorically is often labeled The Teachers. I still believe that the INFJ label fairly accurately describes my personality, but I couldn’t help but take the bait when I found out that there is a web-site that uses the words most often used in your blog to identify your blog’s personality type. The result? The Hijas Americanas blog came out as an ISFP– often categorically described as The Artists.
Here is what typealyzer had to say about Artists (and, hence, the Hijas blog):
The gentle and compassionate type. They are especially attuned to their inner values and what other people need. They are not friends of many words and tend to take the worries of the world on their shoulders. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and have to look out not to be taken advantage of.
They often prefer working quietly, behind the scene as a part of a team. They tend to value their friends and family above what they do for a living.
Got a blog? What’s your type?
The Performers?? Me?? No way! LOL
