I am coming upon my 35th birthday which means that it is time to assess the list of things to do I wrote in honor of my 34th birthday. I certainly didn’t accomplish the 34 things that were on the list (only 14 things were knocked off the list) but I did get the chance to do some great things and even surprise myself. Here’s a look back at some of the things knocked off this year’s list:
Swimming with dolphins!
Snorkeling.
Get an assignment/article in Teen Vogue, Skirt!, and Latina.
Make a Kiva.org loan.
Learn how to sail.
Reduce my carbon footprint.
Clean out the attic.
Take control of my calendar.
And the two things that took over my time so much that I only knocked 14 things off the list…
Research scholarship program options and make a plan. That one became a full-fledged non-profit called Circle de Luz with an amazing board of directors and 8 scholarship winners selected and a plan to select at least that many winners each year!
Research adoption. That one became research adoption, apply, get matched with a baby boy, and go for it!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s reveal as I turn the calendar on my 34 things and aim to get 35 things done before I turn 36!
