Just worked my way through the July issue of Real Simple and loved an article by Elizabeth Fenner on creating more free time in one’s schedule (loved it so much, wished I had written it). Fortunately, they have it on their web-site, so go check it out. It coaches you through making a wish list of what you would do if time weren’t an issue, assessing how you really spend your time, deciding what you can delegate, outsource, do less well, or eliminate, figuring out how to limit distractions (resist the urge to chceck e-mail 500x a day- oh such a hard one for me), and then rescheduling your life with a slimmed down to do list and fun non-negotiables included daily.
I agree with you on the article. It was truly fabulous. I especially liked the quotes from Valorie Burton. She is one of my favorite life coaches and authors. She’s always been good about peeling back the onion to find out what you really want.
