One of my new treats is visiting www.ted.com to listen to speeches. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and the organization holds an annual conference where the world’s best thinkers and does are challenged to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes to support their mission of spreading ideas. It is really a cool concept, and many “talks of their lives” are available on line. I try to treat myself to a few a week and one that I recently saw was Isabel Allende’s Tales of Passion. She’s just as amazing in person as in print so I wanted to share her speech with you. You’ll learn how she ended up between Sofia Loren’s legs, the best four minutes of her life, and about being passionate.
