So I am stealing a great blog idea from Fighting Windmills: commentary on recent search engine terms that someone entired in Yahoo, Google or some other search engine to find their way to Hijas Americanas site because of some particular post. Some, I think, maybe found a litle bit of what they were looking for… others, I think came up disappointed.
Turning 35 This one comes up every few days, and it strikes me as curious because it hadn’t occured to me that turning 35 might be anything unusual. I also see Turning 21 or Things to do when turning 21 (really, this person needs help knowing what most people do on their 21st birthday? Mind you, my 21st birthday was on something like a Wednesday and so I spent that night studying. But it seems that turning 21 wouldn’t require a search. Well, it could require a search. But not an internet one). For what it is worth, I never see Turning 40 or 50 or 60 in search engine terms that lead to my site. Other posts that deal with turning 35 (well, in theory): Part 1, Part 2.
Female Empowerment Songs This one pops up several times a day. Who knew we were all looking for the soundtrack of our lives? Here’s one and here’s another. Enjoy!
Sara Ramirez measurements Alright, who is looking for Sara Ramirez’s measurements on the internet? I have two lines of thinking here. Maybe its some great woman who wants her own looks affirmed and feels like having a sense of Ramirez’s size might do that. The other line of thinking? Let’s just say that I don’t think this site provided what he/ she/ they were looking for…
And speaking of not giving people what they were looking for when they did a search, I think the person who entered woman naked crutch didn’t expect to find Carson Keeley, but probably could have benefitted from finding spell check.
Oh no! That person definitely could have benefited from a spell checker. 😆
It sure is fun to see and analyze other people’s searches.
