I was a Party of Fiver. A madly, enamored Party of Fiver. Wanted to be Neve Campbell Party of Fiver. Wanted to marry Matthew Fox. Thought I might ditch him for bad boy Griffin every once in a while. I first saw Jennifer Love Hewitt on Party of Five. I’ve only ever seen her outside of Party of Five in Heartbreakers. Never really had an opinion about her until now. And now. Well, now I friggin’ love Jennifer Love Hewitt. Love her. Love her for taking to task this idea that not being all perfect and airbrushed out in real life is a crime. She’s not a commodity. She’s a person. And people don’t look like magazine covers. Nope– magazine covers are just insinuations, ideas, images of possibility. I could go on longer, but I won’t. I’ll let Dalton Ross of Entertainment Weekly and J. Love herself do it.
Good for her! More celebrities need to raise their voice about this issue.
I like what she said too, but let’s see if she really stands by what she said or if she goes on some crazy diet or work out routine now. I could see the magazine covers a few months from now, “Jennifer Love Hewitt has her old body back!”
I don’t think she’s a size two like she’s saying, but in the whole scheme of things, it really shouldn’t matter either.
That’s a great point, Adriana. I will be so disappointed if that headline pops up in a few months (or weeks!). We’ll have to keep an eye out.
