Friday Reflections

Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses.  My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.

Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).

Here is my sensory round-up for this week:

tasting ::  A lot of the same things as last week (several of these meals are easy twofers when making them and the salads were made for a birthday luncheon): spinach ravioli casserole, chicken pie, farro saladcornbread salad , and slow cooker pot roast.

hearing :: TED talks while I run (check this one out)really amazing insights and growth from Passion. Purpose. Plunge retreat clients at different stages of their journeys (and the process).  Also, I have been singing Brave by Sara Bareilles all week long.

smelling ::  Be Amazing candle from Target, hay and horse’s breath, fragrant herbs in the air while running by the community garden

seeing ::  tears in eyes this week through various conversations.  The universe is tough right now.  Think that is why this post from January was the most popular one on my blog this month.  Also, this little craft project that one of my former students guided Happy and I in completing.  Love it.

feeling ::  Really aware of how August kicks into HIGH gear with workshops, conferences, back to school for me, and more.

wishing/hoping ::  for a lovely weekend–the last still one until September.

What about you?  What were your sensational experiences this week?  Please share!
