Friday Reflections

Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses.  My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.

Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).

Here is my sensory round-up for this week:

tasting ::   Candy Corn.  I LOVE candy corn, and because I can inhale them so quickly; I waited until Saturday to buy some.  Now, I walk around with a little stash in my pocket.

hearing ::  Mean by Taylor Swift and Hallelujah (KD Lang’s version).  For whatever reason, both are on repeat in my head this week.

smelling ::  Crisp fall, dusky air.  Love it.

seeing ::  Blazing trees.  Love the colors of fall.

feeling :: nervous excited.  So much going on in the coming weeks personally and professionally.

wishing/hoping :: for another great weekend brimming with satisfying, happy family time.

What about you?  What were your sensational experiences this week?  Please share!

As the weather was a bit crazy last week-end, there’s a kind of theme here…

tasting: a rolled pork roast stuffed with cheese and smocked ham.

hearing: the snow melting, falling from the trees, a quite slip, and icy water dropping.

smelling: the snow-ish air. Is it a smell? or an absence of smell? The air is so pure, almost sharp. Love it.

seeing: snow. No, really?!… Yes! an icing-sugar covered landscape. I can’t help thinking of fairy tales.

feeling: the consistence of this snow, quite heavy as full of water (already begun to melt), therefore ideal for building a snowman or snow balls as it is quite sticky.

wishing/hoping: that the 3 of us will get fitter soon! I’m tired of infections. But hey, let’s be realistic, the “bad season” has just began…. So that’s more a wish than a hope.
