Friday Reflections

Friday Reflections is all about reflecting on the week by observing our senses.  My hope is that this will be a gentle, easy way to tune into how we are doing and what we are experiencing weekly when journaling in general can feel so daunting.

Now, for this week’s Friday Reflections (with each sense as your inspiration, consider how experiencing it impacted your week).

Here is my sensory round-up for this week:

tasting ::   Black Bean Pie.  A favorite around here.

hearing ::  Wild.  Still on the audiobook of Cheryl Strayed’s memoir.  I don’t drive by myself much, obviously.

smelling ::  Blueberry muffins.  Happy and I did some baking this week- yum.

seeing ::  Some very abstract finger painting.  Another project for the Hapster and me this week.

feeling :: excited.  We have a funny, busy weekend planned with a lot of things that I am excited about doing.

wishing/hoping :: for an awesome launch to a new little professional endeavor (more on this soon).

What about you?  What were your sensational experiences this week?  Please share!

This post was inspired by Teacher Goes Back to School who was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.

tasting: lamb with couscous and a zucchini-tomato side-dish – with zucchini from our garden.
hearing: a compliment, and it felt good receiving it!
smelling: coffee. So good by this cold weather, so good after a weird night.
    seeing: snow falling!
feeling: frustrated as our weekend plans won’t happen. Delight is sick. And feeling guilty that I feel frustrated!
wishing/hoping: for Delight’s sickness to be soon over. I’d love her to play with this first snow…. not sure if possible.
