I found this gem of a song the other day in the midst of an internet search for something else.  Kellie Pickler’s a North Carolina girl and I drove through her hometown twice this past week. She was a roller waitress at the local Sonic when she made it onto American Idol.  Love that she worked skating into this video and love even more that it shows some diversity.  Anyway, this song could totally be a part of my Empowerment  play list. 

In other news, the computer landed back on my desk on Sunday afternoon with a new motherboard and keyboard.  I brainstormed all sorts of posts while it was away, I have a big announcement coming up, and we’re about to head into a couple baby milestones in the next two weeks so there will be lots of new posts about writing, body image, baby, adoption, race, ethnicity, and motherhood coming up.
