Neighbor Carly of the perfect cupcake fame is also a raptor rehabilitator. Yep, she nurses injured birds of prey back to health at the Carolina Raptor Center. Anyway, once the birds who can still make it on their own (ie their injury won’t permanently keep them from being able to hunt, etc) are nursed back to health, they are released back into the wild. Well, Carly brought a Great Horned Owl home on Tuesday to release in the open space across the street (which is the front end of many undeveloped acres).
