A M'ija to Meet: Eve, Half Chilean, Half Black

What I love about being Latina: The freedom to be “different.” The richness and diversity of the culture.

What I love about being Americana: The freedom to think for myself and make my own decisions about what my personal route to happiness entails.

My biggest challenge growing up Latina in America: Being darker than the rest of my family and dealing with the pigmentocracy and standard of whiteness

My biggest support in growing up Latina in America: My dad. Even though he came from a different culture he still allowed me to be me.

Why I am beautiful: I feel that I am helping expand the standard of beauty. I am brown, curvy, sensual, and a nerdy brainiac all in one package. I am beautiful because I am me.
