What I love about being Americana: My freedom
My biggest challenge in growing up Latina in America: Being a teenager was hard for me. I didn’t have the freedom that my “American” friends did. And boy did I rebel!
My biggest support in growing up Latina in America: I think that would have to be my cousin. He understood where I was coming from and took the time to hear me out.
Why I am beautiful: It took me a long time to just like myself, to come to terms that I am a unique and beautiful person in my own right. I’ve come to appreciate my ethnicity, my heritage.
